# How do referrals work in detail

You have two ways to link a friend: they either register using your referral link, or they manually enter your referral code within 24 hours of creating their account. After that 24-hour window, the account cannot be linked. Once linked, you will immediately see the friend listed on the **Players** tab of your Referral Dashboard, and their Aviator activity will appear under **Activity** as soon as they start playing.
